The governor, according to Leadership, made the political shake-up known in a statement on Monday, May 11, by Alhaji Isiaka Gold, the secretary to the government of Kwara state (SSG).
Those affected by the shake-up include all boards of government-owned companies, commissions, parastatals, and organizations other than those of statutory status.
The statement also mandated that all those relieved of their political appointments must handover government properties in their custody to their permanent secretaries, while heads of other MDAs were required to handover to the most senior officers in their establishment.
Governor Abdulfatah thanked to all the affected political office holders for their immeasurable contributions to the success of his administration in the last four years and wished them success in their future endeavors
Many governors of other states have taken similar actions in dissolving  their state executive council in preparation to hand over to the incoming administration on May 29.
